Two Guns Too Many
Communism, Fascism, National Socialism, Totalitarianism, Godlessness. There is no other way to describe it. This is America's current direction. All of us need to see this for exactly what it is. We live in a country with a Constitution that guarantees every citizen the God given unalienable right to keep and bear arms. That's not just my opinion. Our Supreme Court has recently reaffirmed and declared that our 2nd Amendment confirms that individual basic right of all Americans. But here is a report of a American citizen sentenced to 7 years in prison for doing nothing more than innocently transporting two legally owned pistols in the trunk of his car.

Citizens of the United States should not allow this kind of thing to happen. So, why does it happen? I believe the explanation goes all the way back to our founding fathers' belief and faith in God. Our Constitution, and therefore our country, is predicated on the existence and beneficence of almighty God providing a moral and ethical structure for our society, and granting unalienable rights to our citizens. Without the bedrock foundation of the Almighty, our institutions sit on shifting sands and will crumble. Left to the whims of men, everything will change. It was only our founders' appeal to the authority of God that solidified the foundation of our freedom in perpetuity.
Today our leaders ignore and even deny God. Our President complains that the Constitution is a "declaration of negative rights," which limits the authority of government. He wants to replace it with a constitution that declares the government's authority over the people instead of God's authority. He thinks our rights are granted by the government, not by God. He is not alone in this misconception. Many legislators, judges, and others also think that way. In fact, God bashing has become popular, and unless you happen to be a Muslim, your religious beliefs are routinely subject to ridicule and derision in the media and other public forums.
There is significant public support for atheism today, especially in our schools and the entertainment industry. That's why it's possible to have a constitution that guarantees every citizen the right to keep and bear arms, and at the same time have a man in prison for having two pistols in the trunk of his car. Our 2nd Amendment right is thought to be as subjective and obscure as our belief in God. And that's no wonder since it was God who granted us that right in the first place. In many respects our government today is totalitarian rather than free. If the government is the ultimate arbiter of our rights, then no man is free. If no man is free, then we live in a totalitarian state. Whether that state is called "communist," or "socialist," is of little consequence. The result is the same. Slavery.
On March 8, 1983, then President Ronald Reagan accused the soviet socialists of running an "evil empire." Those words were not lightly chosen. Godless totalitarian socialism is evil. When a government usurps the Almighty by assuming ultimate authority over its citizens God is forced out and evil triumphs. All citizens become slaves to the State. And those who run it are always corrupted by their power over others. The Evil Empire. We might do well to heed the words of Robert Burns who wrote:"Wha will be a traitor knave? What can fill a coward's grave? What so base as be a slave? -Let him turn and flee! What for (America's Constitution) and Law Freedom's sword will strongly draw, Freeman stand or freeman fall, Let him follow me!" That's it then. Freedom or slavery, it's your choice. Will you be a traitor to the Constitution and everything it represents? Will you be a coward? A slave? Or will you strongly draw the sword of a freeman and stand your ground, even if it means you fall?
