Changes proposed to Ohio's concealed carry law

A change could be coming to Ohio's concealed carry law, after two lawmakers on Wednesday proposed a new bill.

Senate Bill 239 would allow firearms to be carried in restaurants, 10TV News reported.

The bill would prohibit those carrying a concealed weapon from drinking in establishments that serve alcohol.

It would also drop restrictions on how a gun is stored in a vehicle.

Co-sponsors Tim Schaffer and Shannon Jones said the changes would make Ohio's gun laws more consistent with other states.
